Found this video titled “Erwin’s Filipino Star Tattoo” on Youtube. When you watch it, you’ll notice it’s a Sun not a Star. The tattoo & “Filipino Pride” trend/resurgence is a dangerous mix. While I understand that is probably just an honest Sun/Star mix-up, it brings up a few questions….do you know what your “Filipino” tattoos mean? Do your tattoos represent the pre or post Filipino?

Here’s a picture of a Lakas (strength) tattoo I designed for Brandon. The modern translation is LA-KA-S. You will notice the vowel cancellation kudlit “X” under the last character (SA) that looks like V3. Looks great!

Free Filipino Tattoo Flash Designs

A FREE Filipino Tattoo Flash Design section is coming soon on PinoyTattoos.com. The purpose of this is to give you ideas for tattoos. While I don’t suggest anyone use a flash design for a tattoo, your free to do so if you don’t mind having the same tattoo as someone else. At 1st it will have common Baybayin designs but eventually, I want to include “Filipino tribal” and etc. I’m also looking for artists that want to contribute some of their flash designs. They can be full color or stencil – your choice.
