This is pushing it and I know but here’s a photo showing some of 1/4 Filipino actress Shannyn Sossamon’s tattoos. You might recognize her from First Knight, The Holiday, and Catacombs (great movie). Smokin’ and I just love her crooked bangs.

Tattoo art on canvas

There was recently an exhibition featuring the art of tattoo art by Bembol de la Cruz, at Finale Art Gallery at SM Megamall.

Tattoos are an interesting choice as theme as they have become emblems of deviance in society with the extremely tattooed becoming a source of fascination to the public. Television has had its share of specials on the subject—what motivates people to profusely tattoo themselves? What significance do these stained skins imply? Why did these persons pick these designs? What stories lay behind these tattoos? Is it the decorative these persons are choosing to impress upon themselves permanently or something more?

Sampaguita with azucena/tuberose flowers

Here a big rib piece from Danielle out of the San Francisco Bay Area. She recently ordered a custom Baybayin design to go down her back to match her existing rib piece. It features the national flow of the Philippines with azucena/tuberose flowers at the bottom. Rib tattoos are supposed to be very painful but sexy.
