half sleeveThis tattoo has three symbols. The first one is the “Sampaguita” which is the National Flower of the Philippines.  Second is the Philippine 3 Stars and a Sun. And lastly are the words “Family Forever” in Ambigram style.

According to Tyler from Boston, MA, he was adopted out of his Filipino family and he is recently opening up to what he had missed.

There was this song with lyrics “babalik ka din” that pertains to those Filipinos who are in abroad. The message is that no matter how far you are you’ll still be back to your homeland.

Same as what’s happening to Tyler right now. Looking back at your homeland is just as good as saluting proudly to what you really are.

filipinoWhat can you say about this tattoo? Well, it is unique in its own way as it boldly say the word Filipino. If you will notice, many tattoos are designed with symbols that I think some people don’t understand unless they are familiar with it. In this case, Brando of Gulfport Mississippi, which is the owner, made it straight to the point that he is a Filipino and obviously he is very proud about it. Take a look at the tattoo and you will notice that it is made with outlined straps and one star only, simple yet with impact.

Watch out for his tattoos as he is planning to have more on his side and across the back with map of islands, sun and stars and baybayin as the designs.

legAs what the title said, this tattoo is a traditional tribal one with Alibata saying “Filipino”.  The tattoo is located at the outer side of Shawn’s leg.

To give you some background, tribal tattoos are more on black inks, holds up very well and doesn’t fade easily. Plus, this is easy to design and very bold. So the next time you want to have a customized tattoo, you can consider trying this first because there are lot of tattoo artists that can do very well on this.

By the way, this tattoo was made by Kiko of Island Ink located in San Diego, Las Vegas.

P.I.

Jrock of Vallejo, California shared this tattoo to us. On his arm is the map of the Philippine Island. Philippines is composed of 7,107 islands and known for its enchanting places, tropical paradise and exotic faces. No wonder Filipinos are proud that they live in Philippines and that they have Filipino blood because this place is truly magical and inviting.

This tattoo is not just presenting to other people where you live. This is also a sign of faithfulness and devotion to your beloved country. So keep the spirit and tell the world that there are no distance places with a person who sees his country as one.
