Ilocano people are the third largest ethnolinguistic group in the Philippines. They are now dominant ethnic group in the Northern Philippines. They are known for being hardworking and generally engaged in fishing and farming.
Get a taste of their healthy dishes epecially seasoned with “bagoong”, a fermented fish that is substitute for salt for a more umami flavor. Not just that, be amazed with their white sand beaches and ancestral houses.
Proud that he is an Ilokano, Jae of San Jose had this tattoo on his chest as a symbol and commemoration of his ancestors.

According to Mike Tavier, this is a Pinoy tribal tattoo as it is composed of symbols that represents the Philippines like the sun, star and the colors blue and red.

This was the very popular image of Andres Bonifacio leading the Katipuneros with their revolution against Spaniards. He became the “Supremo” of their “KKK” organization. He was the strength and brain of Katipuneros.

Ashlee of Australia shared to us this tattoo image of his boyfriend Paul. According to her, his boyfriend is a Filipino and his tattoo design is a tribute for his Filipino culture.
As you can see, Paul’s tattoo has a Philippine Sun and the words “Filo Pride” at the middle. He shortened the word “Filipino” into “Filo”.
