Katigbak

June 29, 2008 by Christian

My first tat at 26…i learned about alibata/baybayin in college. i knew i had to get one. my last name was perfect with it’s very ‘Tagalog’ sound. took me years to decide on where to put it, how big, and what lay out it should have. i figured i’d have it on my left back side going down. i wanted it in brush strokes. the basic idea was all there, but my artist joe did a swell job in putting it all together and adding his own twist. turned out better than i imagined. can’t wait for my next ink.

Reyes with thin brush

June 23, 2008 by Christian

Cindy from San Diego sends in her photo of RE-YE-S (modified Baybayin) I designed for her about a month ago. Even though the brush strokes are thin, you can see the details. The tattoo artist did a great job. Click here to see how a thick brush stoke looks like.

Oyo Boy Sotto’s tattoos

June 19, 2008 by Christian

“Oyo Boy” is the son of the famous television host, actor and comedian Vic Sotto and actress Dina Bonnevie, nephew of television host and comedian and former Senator Tito Sotto, and younger brother of the actress Danica Sotto. He is considered the King of Afternoon Dramas because of several TV series he made for TAPE Inc. which were broadcast through GMA 7. Despite being seen several times in GMA 7 shows, he never had an exclusive contract with the network. In early 2007, he decided to move to GMA 7’s rival network, ABS-CBN, where he remains today.
