Manny Pacquiao to open Champion Ink tattoo shop in LA

Manny Pacquiao is opening a tattoo shop, Champion Ink in LA with Chris Garcia.

During the “Redhorse Pambansang Muziklaban: Francis Magalona Tribute” on Saturday, Pacquiao revealed that he has a new business venture – a tattoo shop in Los Angeles, California.

He tapped Chris Garcia, also known as “Champion Ink,” as his business partner.

“Magandang karangalan ito na makasama ko siya sa tattoo shop dahil isa siya sa mga pinakamagaling mag-tattoo dito sa atin and I’m very proud of him. Marami siyang tina-tattoo-han, mga sikat na actors, Hollywood actors, mga singers at marami pang iba. Sana malayo ang marating namin,” said Pacquiao.

The eight-world division champion, who is a tattoo enthusiast, said he is looking forward to have a new tattoo when he flies back to LA for his training.

Some of you may have caught the UFC’s Brandon Vera fight tonight against Reese Andy and wondering what his tattoos are. On his back are Mundo (Earth), Hangin (Wind), Tubig (Water) and Apoy (Fire).

“Oyo Boy” is the son of the famous television host, actor and comedian Vic Sotto and actress Dina Bonnevie, nephew of television host and comedian and former Senator Tito Sotto, and younger brother of the actress Danica Sotto. He is considered the King of Afternoon Dramas because of several TV series he made for TAPE Inc. which were broadcast through GMA 7. Despite being seen several times in GMA 7 shows, he never had an exclusive contract with the network. In early 2007, he decided to move to GMA 7′s rival network, ABS-CBN, where he remains today.
