Hello Kitty is a fictional character produced by the Japanese company Sanrio, first designed by Ikuko Shimizu. She is a staple of the kawaii segment of Japanese popular culture.The character is portrayed as a female white Japanese bobtail cat with a red bow and no drawn mouth.

This cute tattoo of Julie from San Diego is what she called “Pinay Kitty”. Know why? Because it is obviously Hello Kitty with Philippine Sun as the ribbon. Plus the color of the ribbon is red, yellow and blue which is the color of the Philippine flag.

Carabao or “Asian Water Buffalo” is the National Animal of the Philippines. They are known for their invaluable contributions especially in rice fields. They have so much strength that’s why they are extensively used in farms, rice fields and forest.

Like carabao, Filipinos are hardworking and capable of doing anything, anywhere in the world.

White stands for purity. The 3 stars in triangle formation represents the three divisions of the country..Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. While the sun with eight rays represents the eight provinces the revolted for independence.
