My first tat at 26…i learned about alibata/baybayin in college. i knew i had to get one. my last name was perfect with it’s very ‘Tagalog’ sound. took me years to decide on where to put it, how big, and what lay out it should have. i figured i’d have it on my left back side going down. i wanted it in brush strokes. the basic idea was all there, but my artist joe did a swell job in putting it all together and adding his own twist. turned out better than i imagined. can’t wait for my next ink.

hey! thanks! yeah, Joe’s pretty good in his craft. He actually founded PHILTAG (Philippine Tattoo Artists Guild) and was its 1st president. He’ll be leaving in 2 weeks for Europe (5 countries) for a painting exhibit.
