March 19, 2008 by Christian
Have a non-Filipino name and want it translated in Baybayin? Here’s one for Lloyd. Translation is L-LO-Y-D. Notice the cancellation kudlits under the 1st L, Y, and D.

Call me old school but I don’t think “non-Filipino” names should be translated to Baybayin. It goes against the culture of the script diba?

Lloyd here,, ive just noticed the comments,, here is the thing, when i decided to get inked i was thinking of putting my last name as my 1st tatt,, then ive done some research(not that thorough), ive found out that there is no ‘R’ in alibata(my Last name strts w/ an R) that’s why i just decided to place my name,, i am not aware that if i translate my non-FiL name to alibata i will violate such”cuLture of script”,, i do respect your comment(kayLa), but since i am pinoy, i think i do have the freedom to use our ancient way of writing,, peace out mga boss!!! Live and Let Live!!
