Every time I look at it I can’t believe that I have it on my arm, Everyone that has seen it can’t believe how good it looks . It is probably one of the best tattoos design I have ever seen, and I don’t say that just because it’s on my arm. you are an amazing artist and I am honored to have you as my tattoo artist designer. Sarimanok and the Sun
September 22, 2009 by Poty · Leave a Comment
Sarimanok is a legendary bird and the Philippine word for “chicken.” It has colorful wings, feathered tails and said to be a symbol of good fortune.
This tattoo of Mark from Orange Country, CA is a combination of the Philippine sun and Sarimanok. The two elements produced a very symbolic, artistic and meaningful tattoo. It has a lot of meaning and I’m sure you also have your own interpretation too.
But for Mark, this one boldly says that he is really proud of being a Filipino.
Lucky Van’s 3 Stars and a Sun

Mel of San Francisco had his tattoo designed with different version of 3 Stars and a Sun. As you can see, the sun has different elements and different shapes. He didn’t really clarify what the design of the sun is all about. Maybe he wants the reader to give and to have their own interpretation and meaning of the sun. Pretty much, this one is very cool, unique and has a touch of ethnic.
My Grandfather

It was said that grandparents are more attached to their grandchild than their own child. And it was also proven that Filipino grandsons and granddaughters are more closed to their grandparents than their own parents. This is because Filipino “lolo’s and lola’s” or grandparents are more loving and tolerating. Yes, it is true not only in Philippines but also in other countries.
This tattoo came from Joseph of Fullerton. This is his grandfather’s name. As seen, Filipino grandson really cherished and love their “lolo’s and lola’s.” Need not to say more.
