Norman from San Diego, California wants to give tribute to Tha Kuya for this wonderful and very creative tribal tattoo they did on his half sleeve. Tha Kuya did the tattoo for 9 hours and came up with a very symbolical Neo tribal tattoo as seen in the photo. Norman recommends Tha Kuya for those who wants to have the same kind tattoo on their skin.

James Del Monte Fischer (the bearer) from Florida is a half-German and half-Filipino. Showing his 3 stars and a sun tattoo, he is very proud wearing it. Another Filipino shared his first tattoo to us. This tattoo is from Adam of Canada. His tattoo may look simple and clean but it has a deep meaning. For him, this tattoo means “lakas” or “strength” in English. He dedicates this tattoo to his loving wife and children which are the source of his strength. This design is from the Lakas ebook collection available in the downloads section.

Above bible verse is the meaning of Chris Concodia’s tattoo. For him, the whole meaning of the verse is “integrity”. Integrity which every people should have and should think about.

Half-done, this tribal tattoo of Mikey from San Diego, California is a free-hand work by Tha Kuya at Islandtat. The Lakas in an aggressive bamboo style was his own idea and the others were ideas of Kuya. Shark teeth is also visible in his tattoo.

Mikey is still planning to put bamboo leaves, binig patter and 3D shading of the shark teeth.

Dexter of Rizal, Philippines shared to us his very cool and flaming skull tattoo. According to him, there are many undiscovered Filipino tattoo artists that are really good but doesn’t have the strength to step up in the country.

This is a call to all tattoo artists that can make very good ones to stand up and show their talent. Filipinos are very artistic and we must use and be proud of it.

In addition to his Philippine Eagle tattoo that was posted before, Tyler cleaned up his Family Forever ambigram tattoo as seen in the photo. Adding up another tattoo on his arm basically means adding more of his Pinoy pride. His tattoos are getting more and more amazing as he gets through it. He is still planning to come up with more Pinoy tattoos the sooner.

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be back in Southern California to showcase my work at DesignerCon in Pasadena, CA 11/20/10. This event will be much different than the usual cultural ones I usually do. I’ll be debuting my custom toys exclusively at this event with new paintings and of course promoting Baybayin.
