Here’s a great looking Baybayin tattoo of Pamilya (PA-MI-YA) with a rosary. Tattoo by Gene Tesa (who also did my 1st tattoo)
Here it is horizontal

so where is the “L” in pamilya?

The person who has the tattoo opted for “tradional” Baybayin where only letters followed by a vowel are used with the exception for vowels themselves. In modern Baybayin, a cancellation kudlit is used to “cancel” the following vowel sound as shown in the bottom file. The L is represented by the LA character with the X underneath it. The X converts the LA to L.

i'm planning to get “pamilia” tattooed as well. would it be ok to use the design above? it wont be exact, i have a friend from samoa born in hawaii that has already done a half sleeve for me. i'm gonna ask him to put his on twist on it so it all fits together. thanks!
