Philippine history video inspired by tattoo art

Originally, a site-specific work commissioned by the National Commission on Culture and the Arts for SUNGDU-AN, the national survey / exhibit of contemporary art in the Philippines. This year’s theme is Sungdu-an 4 : ExTensions.
In this video, we use the concept of tattoos or pintados in going back to some of the Philippines’ most popular icons and images that have evolved through history to shape the nation and people we are today.
