Jeffrey:

"Fuck the Japs"? Wow, racist. Really, another Asian saying "fuck the...." about another Asian group? Pride for one's culture is one thing but when you go and make racist comments (and don't say they aren't, they are) about another culture, then you're no better than a white man screaming that Filipinos should "go home!". Being brown does not permit you to be an asshole, jerk.

The Japanese today are not the Japanese of 65 years ago. Please do not spread your dirty, vile, nasty hate here in a place that should be about positivity. You can shove off and go hang out with your nationalistic racist brothers if that's your game, dude.

@ Ray-I respect your opinion about this tattoo and in no way am I trying to offend anybody. However I am the owner of this tat and I got this as a symbol of my pride for being half filipino/half american...the reason for the Japanese writing over the sun is not for disrespect, but for respect of my son who was born in Okinawa, Japan considering I am Active Duty in the United States Air Force and was stationed there for a few years. The writing is not Kanji but Katakana...and @ Randy-Yes it does say Elijah. Hopefully now ppl can appreciate this tat a little more after understanding the meaning behind it.

I think the only way this would be cool is if this guy is Pinoy / Japanese. Otherwise I have a problem with Japanese writing over a Philippine symbol of pride / rebellion no matter what it means.
