Someone who grew up in an environment wherein “Sabong” is the people’s sport is what motivated Evan to have this kind of tattoo. On his arm is the three Stars and a Sun with two Sarimanok. For those who don’t know, Sarimanok is a native chicken with colorful feathers and Sabong is rooster fight wherein Filipinos place their bets on their preferred rooster.

Sarimanok and Sabong has been a major part of Evan’s life and as well as Filipinos. Who doesn’t know Sabong and Sarimanok, right?

It is also his reminder of where he came from and his heritage. In the middle of the Sun is the Tribal Water Buffalo which represents how hardworking and strong he is in all aspect of his life.

Surely, many of us wanted to show our roots to other races. Like Nikko Thomas of Maryland, he wanted to show other people that he is a half-Filipino because he is always seen as pure black. With this, he decided to have 3 stars and a sun tattoo on his shoulder with the word “Pamilya” at the top. By the way, the word “pamilya” is “family” when translated English.

Thomas is really proud being a Filipino, how about you?

In addition to his Philippine Eagle tattoo that was posted before, Tyler cleaned up his Family Forever ambigram tattoo as seen in the photo. Adding up another tattoo on his arm basically means adding more of his Pinoy pride. His tattoos are getting more and more amazing as he gets through it. He is still planning to come up with more Pinoy tattoos the sooner.

“Viva Las Filipinas” is what you can see at the back of Marq from Philippines. This very huge tattoo located at Marq’s back is actually his first tattoo. Viva Las Filipinas is a Spanish word for “Long live Philippines!”. In Filipino, it actually means “Mabuhay Pilipinas!”. These words are sign of proud and love for the country. While 3 stars and a sun are the symbols we can see in the Philippine flag which is also a known symbol of Philippines. I don’t now what his background is but do you think it’s weird that there’s the Sun with the 8 provinces that rebelled against Spain but with Spanish below? I guess it represents the 2 sides of Filipinos.

One symbol means it all. The bearers tattoo which is located on his inner bicep is obviously the sun in the Philippine flag.

Jared (bearer) have this tattoo to show that he is a half-Filipino. He is very proud and he really mean it!
