This tattoo is a reminder to herself, Anna from Los Angeles, that she should keep fighting during tough times and never give up. Her tattoo means “Sugod” (in Filipino) and when translated to English means “to start it or to keep fighting”.

Filipinos are really fighter and rarely you will hear they want to give up. They will just smile in the hardest and darkest days of their lives. That’s Filipino spirit!

“Family First” in Baybayin is a tribute of Jon from Bay Area for his Filipino family. As most Filipinos says “Family comes first” , Jon also had that in his heart and mind that is why he had this tattoo. He located his tattoo at his shoulder and had it written in Baybayin which gave it more defined look.

In one word, Ramar of Manila showed to us his nature….”Mandirigma”. Mandirigma when translated in English means “Soldier”. Yes, Ramar is a soldier, maybe literally, but also a soldier of his own because Filipinos are known for being heros/soldiers from today’s generation down to their roots. They fight for their country and this is also why Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino once said “Filipinos are worth dying for”. Interested Baybayin aka Alibata translations?

A powerful tattoo from Jaybee is what we have in the list. The tattoo is basically composed of Philippine and Australian flag with Filipino tribal markings. Alan Pangilinan from San Diego just recently got this Philippine Sun and a Star. It is originally had a turtle but he’s been wanting the Filipino sun and his last name on his back for a while now. As you can see, he had the sun go around his turtle. The turtle was for when he was Tahitian drumming. He will be getting the color of the turtle redone to match the rest of his back.
