Some say people gets themselves tattooed because they want to show their revenge on matters that broke or hurt them like love, family, etc. Same like Michael from Philippines, he had this tattoo as a representation of his broken family. “Family First” in Baybayin is a tribute of Jon from Bay Area for his Filipino family. As most Filipinos says “Family comes first” , Jon also had that in his heart and mind that is why he had this tattoo. He located his tattoo at his shoulder and had it written in Baybayin which gave it more defined look.

Surely, many of us wanted to show our roots to other races. Like Nikko Thomas of Maryland, he wanted to show other people that he is a half-Filipino because he is always seen as pure black. With this, he decided to have 3 stars and a sun tattoo on his shoulder with the word “Pamilya” at the top. By the way, the word “pamilya” is “family” when translated English.

Thomas is really proud being a Filipino, how about you?

Jon from New Jersey already had a cross tattoo that represents his mother side and came up with this another tattoo (as shown in the image) and this time it represents his father side. Jon came up with Baybayin tattoo of his father’s last name with the help of Christian who drew the script.

Chris from Australia has figured out what he wanted to be done on his trip to Bali for his 21st birthday. He decided to have tattoo of Philippine star, sun, eagle and four roses that represents his father, mother and two sisters which he placed on his shoulder down to his sleeve. His mother is a Filipina and his father is an Australian. Now, everyone will know his roots and hopefully will not be mistaken again on his real nationality.

For him, this tattoo means “lakas” or “strength” in English. He dedicates this tattoo to his loving wife and children which are the source of his strength. In addition to his Philippine Eagle tattoo that was posted before, Tyler cleaned up his Family Forever ambigram tattoo as seen in the photo. Adding up another tattoo on his arm basically means adding more of his Pinoy pride. His tattoos are getting more and more amazing as he gets through it. Being in a United States Navy, seeing a female Filipino having a tattoo is normal and traditional. Even though it’s typical, Yza still had this tattoo of her family to show her love to her roots and the strong tightness between her and her family . Aside from showing the world how Filipinos are family oriented, she also wants everybody to know that she love her mother so much through this tattoo.
