“While living in America it is very easy to become assimilated with others in the country. I am not saying to avoid it, but I wanted something to give me a reminder of where I came from. My parents raised me in a household in the States, however with Filipino culture in many aspects of my life. My tattoo represents my roots from the Philippines and as a reminder to myself everyday about my culture. It was designed by my cousin and done by my cousin.”

Not a fully blooded Pinoy, BD from Lakeview, is still full-blooded by heart. He is extremely proud of being Pinoy and his 2nd tattoo (as seen above) and definitely this will not be his last tattoo because he is coming for more. He had his 3 stars and a sun around his sleeves in tribal pattern.

A powerful tattoo from Jaybee is what we have in the list. The tattoo is basically composed of Philippine and Australian flag with Filipino tribal markings. Half-done, this tribal tattoo of Mikey from San Diego, California is a free-hand work by Tha Kuya at Islandtat. The Lakas in an aggressive bamboo style was his own idea and the others were ideas of Kuya. Shark teeth is also visible in his tattoo.

Mikey is still planning to put bamboo leaves, binig patter and 3D shading of the shark teeth.
